Euro2016 tournament heating up

Israel will finish 2014 on top of its Euro 2016 qualifying group if it can maintain its perfect record and defeat Bosnia-Herzegovina tonight.

The national football team is currently in second spot in Group B, only one point behind Wales, but has played one less match than the group leaders.

Israel has defeated Cyprus 2-1and Andorra 4-1 and should be able to maintain its unbeaten record against Bosnia-Herzegovina, who hasn’t won a match during qualifying.

If Israel can draw in Haifa tonight (Sunday) it will go to the top of the table on goal difference, but if it can win then it will move two points clear and maintain the position until the next match day in March 2015.

The qualifying tournament for the 2016 European Football Championships, which will be held in France, continue until the end of next year.

An important match between Israel and Belgium was due to be played in Haifa on September 9 was but postponed due to security fears.

The match will now be held on Mach 31.
