Former neo-Nazi resigns from Liberal Party

A Liberal Party activist that has claimed the Port Arthur massacre was a Jewish conspiracy has resigned from the Liberal Party in Victoria.

Scott Harrison, pictured with Premier Denis Napthine, has been working on the Liberal Party’s campaign in two electorates for the upcoming election but was forced to resign when Fairfax Newspapers revealed his past overnight.

Harrison admitted that he is a former member of a white supremacist group but said that he has changed his views.

“My close associates in the Liberal Party know of that history,” he told Fairfax Media.

“I completely distance myself from my past ideology. I now realise how insane it was. I now believe in racial equality and gay marriage.”

But despite his statement, Victoria’s Liberal state director Damien Mantach said that Harrison immediately resigned from the party when his past was revealed.
