Yeshivah teachers call for meeting
THE AJN can reveal that as the fight to keep Yeshivah and Beth Rivkah (YBR) principal Rabbi Yehoshua Smukler intensifies, distressed teachers have written directly to the board seeking a meeting.
“We have been unable to teach because of the degree of extreme concern which is being experienced by the staff,” the letter states.
“We are stakeholders in the school with absolute care and concern for our boys. The future direction of Yeshivah is our primary objective. We need to hear from the Board as to what can be done to ensure that Rabbi Smukler maintains his position as the principal of the school.
“We request a meeting today with all members of the Board to address our concerns and work towards a mutually acceptable outcome.”
