OLYMPIC silver medallist Jessica Fox returned to the water for her first major event since the London Games to win five gold medals and a silver at the recent Copa Pyrenees Cup in Europe.

Fox was fantastic on her way to winning the general classification of the three-legged event, completing the clean sweep of the C1 event, before going on to win two of the three K1 races.

The 18-year-old kicked off the tournament with a first place in the C1 and second in the K1 in the Spanish city of La Seu d’Urgell.

She then went on to win her remaining four races in the French towns of Foix and Pau to take out the overall title.

“I’m happy that I could build and deliver a good race in the final when it matters and especially at the end of a tough week of racing,” Fox said after the event.

“Overall I learnt a lot and have a few things to work on now before revisiting Seu for the World Cup and Pau the next time.”

Fox is now set for the ICF Canoe Slalom World Cup Series, which is a five-race event across Europe, kicking off in Wales next month, before taking part in the world championships in Prague in September.
