If anyone can, Kan can

NORTH Caulfield Maccabi Junior Football Club stalwart Michael Kan has taken out the second annual Reagan Milstein distinction award.

NORTH Caulfield Maccabi Junior Football Club stalwart Michael Kan has taken out the second annual Reagan Milstein distinction award.

A dedicated committee member, Kan also spends a lot of time developing players in the trial period.
“I was very surprised to get it, as it is such a special award,” Kan says.

The award is named in honour of Reagan Milstein, a former player of North Caulfield Maccabi Junior Football Club, who tragically died in July 2010.

“Receiving the award is very close to my heart. I knew him [Reagan] well, coaching him as a goalkeeper. It was a real shock to me.”

Kevin Milstein, Reagan’s father, said he was “very proud to give the award to Michael. He gives a great effort down at the club.
“I’m sure Reagan would be very happy it is going to him, as they got on very well when Michael coached Reagan.”

Kan received tickets to a Melbourne Victory, Sydney FC A-League game.

“I had a great experience with my son going to the game,” Kan said.

Kan is the second recipient of the award, with Alon Blumgart winning it last year, and it will now be a regular occurrence at the club’s AGM.
