Jewish businessmen to change the face of AFL

JEWISH AFL commissioner Paul Bassat will head to the United States in July with other league officials and club presidents in an attempt to bridge the gap between rich and poor clubs based on the current system set up in the US National Football League (NFL).

JEWISH AFL commissioner Paul Bassat will head to the United States in July with other league officials and club presidents in an attempt to bridge the gap between rich and poor clubs based on the current system set up in the US National Football League (NFL).

Bassat and the AFL delegation will have several meetings with NFL chiefs, as well as Jewish owner of the New England Patriots Bob Kraft, who has led the way in the US in regard to levelling the financial stability of NFL clubs.

The co-founder of Seek will join AFL bosses Andrew Demetriou and Gillon McLachlan, club heads Eddie McGuire, Andrew Newbold, Peter Gordon, Trevor Nisbett, Brendon Gale and Keith Thomas, and AFL Players’ Association CEO Matt Finnis.
