Junior gun set for AFL big stage
AJAX Auskick participant Daniel Waks (pictured with Channel 7 commentator and former Richmond star Matthew Richardson) was named a nominee for the NAB AFL Auskicker of the Year Award, which will see him take to the MCG on the biggest stage of all, the AFL Grand Final in October.

Waks, seven years old and a regular at AJAX’s Auskick program, was rewarded for his exceptional attitude and commitment to the game.
The youngster will have the opportunity to participate in the Grand Final Parade, before playing in front of 100,000 fans at the half-time break of the grand event.
“Daniel is now on another planet enjoying the opportunity, it’s beyond his dreams,” his father Manny told The AJN.
“I’m not sure if it’s fully sunk in yet, but I’m sure closer to the day he will realise the enormity of it.”
