AUSTRALIAN wheelchair tennis ace Adam Kellerman earned a spot in the main draw of the wheelchair event at the 2014 Australia Open earlier this week.

Kellerman was too good for compatriot Ben Weekes in the Wildcard Playoff, winning 2-6, 6-4, 6-2 to set up a clash against sixth-seeded Dutchman Maikel Scheffers that took place as The AJN went to print.

“Playing in the Aus Open is a dream come true for me,” Kellerman told The AJN
.

“And I’m heading in with a lot of confidence after a great start to the year, having won in Brisbane.”

“I was very nervous, because it was a big match for me to get into the Open … but I just focused in the second set and got my serves and returns right, and then played with confidence in the third.”
