SOME of Sydney’s most famous bread is now kosher for the first time.

Iggy’s Bread in Bronte, which has people lining up out the door to buy bread every weekend, is kosher under the hechsher of Community Kashrut (CK).

“We are really happy because we wanted to broaden the availability of kosher products to the consumers and we are now able to do that,” CK chairman David Sandler told The AJN.

All bread baked on site and sold at the Bronte store is kosher mehadrin, Pat Yisroel and pareve, including bagels, ciabatta, focaccia, health bread, walnut bread, raisin bread and rye bread.

“Kosher consumers and caterers have been asking us for some time to make this happen so we are very happy to be able to bring this product to the community.

“We are currently working on more distribution points for Iggy’s bread in the eastern suburbs and the north shore so that kosher consumers can enjoy this great product.”

Amaze in Taste, one of Sydney’s largest kosher caterers, now offers Iggy’s bread for all functions.
