Shalit-swap terrorist rearrested

IDF soldiers operating in the West Bank this week arrested a Palestinian who was released from an Israeli prison in October in the framework of the deal that secured the release of Gilad Shalit from Hamas captivity in Gaza, Palestinian sources said.
Ayman Sharouna, a resident of Dura, a Palestinian town near Hebron, was arrested on suspicion of engaging in terror-related activity.
Sharouna, who was sentenced by Israel to 38 years in prison, was freed in the first stage of the prisoner exchange agreement between Israel and Hamas.
Relatives said IDF soldiers searched Sharouna’s home during the night and then arrested him.
Israel has recorded dozens of incidents in which terrorists who were freed as part of the exchange deal violated the conditions of their release to the West Bank.
Most of them violated the terms of their release by not reporting each month at local Coordination and Liaison Administration offices.
ast November Israel arrested freed terrorist Sami Younes as he tried to cross the Rantis checkpoint near the settlement of Beit Aryeh. Another released terrorist was apprehended while attempting to cross into Jordan through the Allenby Bridge.
Details and photos of dozens of terrorists who were released to the West Bank were distributed among IDF forces operating in the region. Soldiers also search their homes on occasion to check whether they are not violating the terms of their release.
