Amanda Ruben brings together her fresh takes on classic recipes, along with popular favourites from her contemporary cafe and deli, Miss Ruben, and her own busy family home in her first cookbook Feasting: A new take on Jewish cooking.
You’ll find recipes such as a carrot salad with miso tahini, Middle Eastern fruit salad with cashew cream, and the best pastrami you may ever taste – these are simple, delicious and (surprisingly) healthy dishes for any lunch, dinner party or holiday celebration. Most of the recipes can be prepared with little skill. Some require a bit more effort but are well worth it, and for others you can cheat a bit and no one will be the wiser. With suggested menus designed for entertaining, Feasting is about simple, delicious food that brings people together.
Feasting is published by Hardie Grant Books, and is available in stores nationally.
The Australian Jewish News has three copies of the book to giveaway.
