RABBI Nicole Roberts has been announced as the newest rabbi at North Shore Temple Emanuel (NSTE).

Rabbi Roberts, who was raised in Manhattan and has been living in Nashville, Tennessee, conducted services at the synagogue during the recent High Holy Days.

She has been welcomed by NSTE’s Rabbi Gary Robuck, who she will serve alongside.

“I could not be more excited because she is providing an additional dimension to the synagogue,” Rabbi Robuck told The AJN. “She is a person of depth, intellect, talent, professionalism and dignity.

“We are thrilled beyond words to welcome her and she is going to be of benefit to our community and the wider Jewish community.”

NSTE president Susan Kadar said she was thrilled, adding that the new rabbi is a perfect fit for the congregation. “She brings to us an outstanding commitment to Progressive Judaism, scholarship and bimah skills, as well as a warm and friendly personality that helps her to reach out to and establish relationships with young and old and everyone in between,” Kadar said.
